Have any of you read Jak and Daxter: Aetas, yet? Here's the trailer, which will make you read the fancomic.

*waits for people to watch trailer*

Yes, it is JakxKeira. No, I don't care. Normally I'd avoid JxK fics and comics like the plague--all my friends know why at this point, I think--but the ideas in this story are so gut-wrenching I can't help but love it. I'd never come across a fic in which Jak is forbidden to have children due to what the Dark Warrior Program did to him, but now that I've read Aetas I really want to see more. Maybe I'll write one--extremely different from Aetas, of course! I've always loved stories in which people fight for their right to be like everyone else.

And the artwork...! Oh my gosh. It just gets better and better. You can see the improvement from page to page as Phoenix-san adjusts to the style, and I have to say I love it. It's really hard to describe how this comic rocks, but it does. Read it.

Oh! Also, I have no idea if I got the baby's coloration right. Really. We haven't actually seen the baby in the actual comic, and the previews don't show her hair...but I'll assume it's similar to Keira's. :shrug:

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! OMG! :glomp: This is awesome!!! And yes, the baby's hair is similar to Kiera's....its actually Jaks green rooted hair with Keira's blue...only slightly darker. Lots of pics of her in the gallery as a young woman.

Squee! So I was mostly right. I tried to get the green-roots-blue-ends thing in her hair, like a cross between Jak's and Keira's, but from that angle it was kind of hard. ^^;

I'm so glad you like it! I was really nervous. Considering how much I fangirl your comic, I wasn't sure I'd come even close to showing the sorts of emotion in this that you portray in the actual comic. :glomp: But yay! Approval! :boogie:

I was surprised! Even though Jak is a total psyco in dark form...this would have been the way I had drawn him...unless there was a threat close by, then he would be really defensive, but still a caring father.

I love Darkie, he's such a completely batshit homocidal maniac, but there's still Jak in there, and it's so much fun to show that. I personally have a harder time showing the inner Jak in Sparkie--er--Light Jak, rather, than in Darkie, because I find our average everyday Jak a little more hellbent than the Lawful-Goodness that is Sparkie.

Plus, I've always loved the mental image of Darkie protecting a kid. I read it in a fic once--heck if I can remember who wrote it, though--and it's stuck with me ever since. When I started reading Aetas it kept poking at me, and then when I saw the trailer I knew that was what I wanted to draw.

Again, though, I was really worried about whether or not you would like it. I've actually had people dislike it when I do fanart for them in a style different from their own, and mine and yours--while amicable cousins--are quite different. :hug: Thank you so much for liking it! Your comments completely make my week. :D

I have read the first 3 comics and the plot is interesting. It's like...cliffhanger immeadiately of Jak's Dark gene! :wow: Love to read more =D

Cool...I love your picture! Partly 'cause of the Dark Jak, partly 'cause of the cute little almost-unnoticeable baby! If you do a different version of the fic, will it be Seem or some other character I've never heard of? Either way, I'd definitely read it! :nod:
