This is a very very bloody picture, and the content is more than a little unsettling. Consider yourself warned.

Before anyone asks, no, that's not Dax. Looks a lot like him, though, huh? I assure you the resemblance is intentional--there would be no point to this picture if it wasn't.

This goes with the next chapter of Captive Voice, for Jak's first assessment. It's been just over a year--though Erol tells Jak "Happy anniversary" while he's taking him back to his cell it's not the exact one-year mark--since Praxis took Jak, and it's time for him to prove he's worth all the time and money they're putting into him and the Dark Warrior Program. A couple injections of Blue-treated Dark Eco and then the fun starts. For anyone who hasn't read anything in my little fanon Jakiverse, treating Dark Eco with another type of Eco will make it take on the effects of that Eco, intensified ten- or even twenty-fold, and seeing as Blue Eco already gives quite a buzz when channeled, charging Dark Eco with it makes it into a sort of narcotic. Thus, Jak is completely and totally out of his head for the better part of his assessment.

Phase 01 of the assessment is Jak against a bunch of other prisoners, which he passes with flying colors...until he sees this kid. Prisoner 4076, a regular. Untreated, untouched by the Dark Warrior Program, and scared out of his mind. He has a bionic arm. *points* As for the other phases, you'll have to wait until I post the next chapter to find out what happens in them--and what's done with this little Dax-lookalike.

This was fun to draw, and fun to color. More than a little challenging--and I ended up cheating and using a bunch of spatter brushes for the majority of the blood--and it even had me going "Eek. Why am I coloring this?" a couple times. All the dead folks in the background--aren't they lovely? Ick. >.<--were done entirely on the computer with my cheapo little mouse, so I'm really proud of them. There are more dead people than that in the room, although at this point it's mostly body parts, but I couldn't bring myself to draw them. They're all over the walls already anyway.

I really need to get out of the CV art mood, though. I owe people pictures...
