I did this entire picture last night, in about two hours. I'm not sure if that means I'm fast, impatient, or manic.

It's based around a plotbunny that hopped into my head yesterday, involving how Jak came to be capable of speech. I'm working on the fic for it, but it's slow in coming and I'm certain it's going to be fairly short. It's also very depressing, and more than a little painful. I write too much violence, methinks. :O_o:

Anyway! Our lovely Jak, probably about a year or so into his captivity at the hands of Baron Praxis. So far they've tried a number of methods for channeling Dark Eco into him, and right now they're trying an IV. I had great fun designing the machine it all hooks into--a mix between Precursor and modern technology, because the Precursors were the best when it came to containing Dark Eco.

...I hope the actual fic will explain it better.

Again, I think I almost killed myself on the background. But I did do a complete background, so it's all good. Also I'm very happy with how his hair came out--I was a little wary about getting the green in there, but I think it came out pretty well. Does it look okay? They all have such weird hair...

I hope you do write that story, this pic is beautiful and I'd love to read the story that inspired it. The emotion on his face at getting his voice is perfect! :clap:

I was thinking the Jak looked a wee bit young but then he is only a year in to his captivity so that explains it. :nod:

I've only played the first game. :\ Only thing I really remember is there was this ocean-thing with a big-ass fish in it, and if you swam out too far it came and ATE YOU, and I kept just playing up to that point to watch the fish eat 'em...:D

In the second game, there's a bar that has the big-ass fish stuffed and on a plaque hanging on the wall. :laughing:
